I grew up in Ann Arbor and I love it here.  Despite having traveled far and wide, this is my favorite place in the whole wide world.  I suppose part of it is simply that it's home.  But it's also more than that.  Our fair city has a lot to offer.  You can always find things to do. Whether your interest is intellectual, sports-oriented or creative, we have a club for you!  It is beautiful here.  We pride ourselves on our parks and we have a lot of them.  We are a city with a small town feel.  We have a thriving downtown and great restaurants.  We have a local farmer's market and a terrific local real estate company.  I could go on and on...

I graduated from Huron High School in 1980 and received my Bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan in 1984.  I went on to get my Master's of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan in 1990.  I maintained a private practice, specialializing in the treatment of people with eating disorders, for 17 years.  When my son entered the first grade in 2004 I decided I was ready to work more, but I wanted to try something new.  I had always loved houses, had bought and sold several of my own, and was ready to move from amateur to professional real estate agent.  What began as whim and fancy, blossomed into a new business venture. I have found my social work skills and training, as well as my commitment to professional ethics and accountability, to be true assets in developing positive relationships while helping people find or sell their home.  I have received extensive real estate training and I am always seeking additional training opportunities.  I am a REALTOR®, associated with the Ann Arbor Area Board of REALTORS®, and have also received my ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) designation from the National Association of REALTORS®.  My most recent certification is that of e-PRO, which involved extensive online training in the use of the internet and other technologies for real estate professionals.  I believe strongly in the concept of lifelong learning and am continually seeking ways to further educate myself and improve my business and services.  I am currently serving on the Education Committee for the Ann Arbor Area Board of REALTORS® to ensure that I have quality trainings and workshops right here in town!  Since REALTOR® ethics are also extremely important to me I have also served on the Grievance Committee.
